korean MMO coming to america. looks like it has potential, if they put out a demo i'll try it but i doubt its for me.

So, Aion is having closed beta right now. If you pay $5 to preorder it you get a key for the beta. I think it may have started on the 19th, but I kind of forgot about it until Zeric reminded me! Anyways, downloaded it last night while we went out of town and then I made a character this morning. There is a lot of detail you can put into your character, which is kind of cool. I was really impressed by how smoothly the game was running. No link deads/ DCs. I'm only like level 5, but so far it does look pretty entertaining. Its a little challenging, too. I died a couple of times  . There are like chain links for actions and stuff... and if you mess it up, it can mean death  . It kind of has a final fantasy feel to it and its very colorful.. if you guys check it out lmk im on ishalegen or some such server (theres only 2), and im narayan ! |

The videos all look pretty rad, every battle sequence looks fairly over-the-top epic.
May be fun to pick up and try, I just hope that it doesn't fall into the time consuming grindfest that many eastern MMOs tend to side with. |
